In the history lessons you get an extensive overview of the past, not only the german one. From the living conditions in the middle Ages, over the gender roles in age of industrialization to the holocaust in Germany. A panoply of different topics are taught to give the students an insight of what happened in former times.

In lower classes you get to know the basis of how to write different essays, in the sixth form the requests differ. You mainly read literature from well-known authors like Goethe or Schiller and your task is to analyze the reading. Furthermore, you take a close look at some poems and try to find an interpretation. close
The Electoral system, insurances and the society are just a few topics in a typical german “social studies” lesson.

In this subject, there’s lots of theory. For example analyzing songs and its structure. But from time to time, the practical experience is in the center as singing is an important part of musical education as well.

Especially in the sixth form, the history of art plays a major role. It’s about learning a lot about the different epochs and how to create art by yourself. Therefore the pupils also get a great insight on various draw techniques.

There is a big variety of topics, which are taught in this subject. Law, business administration, accounting and corporate strategies are just a few examples. Therefore it’s always interesting and varied.

For pupils who don’t have a confession, there is also the possibility to attend ethic classes. However, there are two different classes: the Catholic religion education and the Protestant religion education. Both focus on the bible and the life according to god.

In lower classes the pupils mainly do ball disciplines like volleyball or basketball. In summer athletics is also an important part of the PE lessons. In the sixth form, the students have to decide what kind of sport they want to practice. They have to choose one individual-, e.g. swimming and one group discipline, e.g. soccer.

In Physics the pupils learn something about the natural science that involves the study of matter and its motion through space and time, along with related concepts such as energy and force.
In the sixth grade, the pupils have to decide whether they want to study French or Latin.

This subject allows researchers to understand individual differences in behavior, personality, intellect, and self- concept. It’s a really interesting subject with a variety of topics.

Biology is a natural science, in this subject you learn something about the study of life and living organisms, including their structure, function, growth and evolution.

In this science you get known to the basic attainment of organic chemistry. So you learn about the structure of carbureted chemical bonds, their fundamental reaction mechanisms and to what extend the substances` physical appearance and characteristics are connected to it´s structure.
